IRON MAN - MOVIE REVIEW

*Directed by Jon Favreau *Starring Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Shaun Toub, Faran Tahir, Clark Gregg *SPOILER WARNING* The Plot: When genius, billionaire, playboy Tony Stark is captured by a terrorist group in Afghanistan with his brilliant intellect he manages to make his escape by developing a metal suit in order to defend himself and combat against forces of evil. It's not until his return home that he figures out him in his suit can mean a lot more for himself by protecting the good of all humanity and to end a scheme by a colleague who's conspiring against him. The character development for Caesar throughout all three films was so perfectly handled and probably one of my new favorite character arcs of all time. This movie finishes that arc out well and Andy Serkis continues to prove that a performance such as this deserves all the attention in the world including an Oscar nomination. It was a never-ending emotional rollercoaster that had some really unforgettable visual storytelling and great tension-filled moments between the antagonist portrayed by the always fantastic Woody Harrelson. It

There was definitely a lot to choose from! A lot of great surprises and I wasn't really expecting this year to be as good as it was. This has been one of my favorite years in all of cinema and what I found so crazy about the films I fell in love with this year are that the films on this list I'll find myself watching over and over again because they're just that good. They'll end up being my favorite films of all time and make me feel so privileged to be living as a film fan in this day and age. For the record I didn't get to see every film that released this past year and if I did try to catch up on almost every movie so late in the game, there'd be no point to post this list later in the month. But here we go these are M
